FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Softball team completed a doubleheader sweep over Wingate Saturday afternoon from the NSU Softball Stadium. NSU kicked off the day with an impressive 9-0 victory in game one led by four RBIs from Brenna Lokeinsky (2) and Gianna Russo (2). The Sharks picked up where they left off in game two, cruising to a 5-1 win.

BOT 1st – Aubrey Hutzler batted in Cassidy Patterson with a single to center field to put the Sharks ahead 1-0.
BOT 2nd – Lauren Margolis got the scoring started in the second inning with an RBI single to left field. Shortly after, Margolis would score a run off an error by the Bulldogs. The run barrage continued as Brenna Lokeinsky batted in two runs to give NSU a 5-0 advantage.
BOT 3rd – Gianna Russo hit the first Shark home run at the NSU Softball Stadium to put NSU ahead 6-0.
BOT 4th – The Sharks continued to apply pressure offensively, tacking on three more runs, thanks to RBIs from Patterson, Russo, and Brianna Matthews.
The Sharks would go on to secure the 9-0 victory over Wingate in run rule fashion.

BOT 1st – Lokeinsky earned a SAC bunt to give the Sharks an early 1-0 lead. Russo followed suit with an RBI single to center field.
BOT 4th – Cassidy Duskin put the Sharks ahead 3-0 with a sacrifice fly to center field.
BOT 5th – Russo continued her stellar play, earning an RBI double. Shortly after, Margolis joined the action, batting in Russo and giving NSU a 5-0 advantage.
TOP 7th – The Bulldogs scored a run off an error by the Sharks but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit.
Nova Southeastern would ultimately secure the 5-1 victory over Wingate and secure Saturday's doubleheader sweep.
